One of numerous hikes within a small distance of North Adams. Autumn colors likely won't be in full force, but the area is still lush and will have pops of color around this time.
Brewery located on the campus of MASS MOCA. Unique offerings, but our pick is the horchata cream ale for the must try.
No food at this location, but across the street is a cool BBQ joint that shares customers.

Cool location in North Adams. Houses a distillery, a cidery, and an excellent farm to table restaurant. Tends to be open primarily on weekends with odd hours. Would check before going.
Below are the names of some of the businesses within
The Breakroom
The Distillery at Greylock WORKS
Berkshire Cider Project.
Williamstown is nearby North Adams and has plenty to do as well.
The Clark Art insitute is a cool more traditional art museum.

Tremendous outdoor large sculpture park. A really unique and interesting walk among some cool big things. Could easily lose a few hours here.
Bit of a drive away, but could easily be coupled with checking out Hudson or Kinderhook as noted below for a fun filled day.
Really this is just a plug for a cool city in Eastern NY in Kinderhook. Home of an awesome bagel store and a cute downtown. Also is the birthplace of a former president.
Bonus points if you get a photo with Marty van B.
Again, Back Bar is a placeholder for the website, but it is a cool spot for some drinks/asian fusion food.
This is more of a plug for checking out downtown Hudson. Super cool downtown of a small city that is revitalized by artsy people from NYC retiring up there. Rob isn't a huge fan of antiquing but there is some seriously cool stuff to check out here on that end.
A pretty tremendous eastern New York combo for those brave enough to make the drive.
Breakfast in Kinderhook at broadstreet bagel company.
Head from there to Art Omi.
Then have Lunch and antiquing/shopping in Hudson.
