Q + A

When is the wedding?

Date: Saturday, August 23, 2025. A New Moon. Time: The ceremony will begin at 6:30 PM. We ask that guests arrive and are seated at least 10 minutes prior to start time.

Where is the Wedding?

The wedding itself will be held within MASS MoCA. It will be located within a few different sections of the museum itself, but these will all be accessed from the main entrance and you will be guided towards your location by museum staff. More broadly speaking the wedding is in North Adams, Massachusetts.

Is the wedding outdoors? What will the weather be like?

The wedding is not outdoors. It will almost exclusively be indoors so rain or shine we boogie. Generally speaking: Late August is the tail end of summer for this area. Highs tend to vary from 73 to 82 during the day and cooling off towards 60 as a low at night. Generally it is a dryer time of year but rain is still possible.

Where to park?

Picture of Where to park?

The main and most accessible lot would be on the corner of Marshall and Route 2. This is near the museums iconic industrial sign and is fairly well labeled. It is a fairly large lot that may still have some museum-goers there until the museum closes at 5 PM. Thereafter spots open up nicely.

There is other parking on Holdin street which should be overflow.

What to wear?

We encourage guests to dress in colorful cocktail attire. MASS MoCA is an eccentric space, so this wedding is the perfect occasion to incorporate pattern and color into your outfit. If you're planning to wear a dress or formal jumpsuit, feel free to embrace a bold summer color or unique pattern. Likewise, a patterned pocket square can be a great way to add a pop-of-color to your suit. Ladies, please avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride (cream, white, ivory, etc.)

Where to stay?

We have hotel blocks through Hotel Downstreet and Fairfield Inn & Suites - Williamstown. Both blocks require a two night minimum stay. Booking will become available approximately 9 months prior to the wedding. For guests looking to stay together or split cost we recommend AirBnB or VRBO in the North Adams, Adams, and Williamstown areas. Other accommodations are listed in the Travel section of this website.

Do I get a guest?

Due to fact that venue capacity is limited, we are unable to host any additional guests that were not formally invited. If your invitation includes a guest the envelope will be addressed to "Mr./Ms. Your Name and Guest."

Are kids allowed?

While we love your kiddos, sadly we are not able to accommodate any children who are not in the wedding party.

Wedding Schedule

The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30. This will be followed by a cocktail hour with snacks and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served shortly there after with a few hours of dancing afterwards. The event will wrap up at midnight and guests will be ushered out by museum staff.

Open bar?

Yes! We welcome you to bring cash to tip our wonderful bar staff.

What if I can't make it?

We understand that for travel, timing, financial, or other reasons making this wedding may be difficult for some. We are planning a second, more casual, celebration in the Midwest for friends and family who were not able to attend the Massachusetts celebration.

Wedding gifts

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at the return address on your save the date and invitation. A registry is available on this website for convenience and a card box will be set up at the wedding reception as well.

North Adams? Is there anything to do around there?

Yes! It is a beautiful part of the country nestled in the Berkshires. We invite you to check out the "things to do" section for some of our recommendations but there is a host of other unmentioned things to check out in the area as well. Cool revolutionary war sites, golfing, hiking, wineries/distilleries, and plenty of good restaurants are scattered throughout this area.

What is the plan for food? What about dietary restrictions?

For our menu we will be working through a caterer. Options will be on RSVPs and will include one beef dish, one chicken dish, and one vegetarian dish. We ask that restrictions be addressed on the RSVP. Our caterer is willing to work personally with guests to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies.
